20 Years with Honda of Lincoln
Meet Bill Glaser, Williamson Honda’s own Honda Top Tech! Bill recently was one of 11 Honda technicians across the entire USA to be awarded the prestigious Honda Top Tech Award. Bill was hired on at Williamson’s in 1999 as an Oldsmobile technician and later on as a VW Technician. He has been a Honda tech since 2005.
Bill’s love for working on cars stems from his growing up on the family farm near Columbus Ne. He used to help his late Grandfather and late Father repair tractors, farm implements and trucks. Soon he was in love with all things mechanical in nature (including erector sets and little steam engines). Soon after graduating from Columbus High Bill Attended SCC-Milford and received a General Motors Service Degree in 1994. During his time at SCC and for many years after, he worked for Ernst GM dealer in Columbus.
It was in Columbus, in 1993, that Bill met and started to date his future wife Shelly. He moved to Lincoln to join her, after she graduated from UNL with a BS Degree in Business Administration in 1999. Shelly is the Accounts Payable Manager for VSA Inc. a nationwide A/V wholesaler, where she has worked since 1999. In September Bill and Shelly will celebrate 10 wonderful years of marriage and the first birthday of their twin baby girls, Alexandria and Gabriella. Not to be left out are the two boys of the family, Whiskers and Little Red, the family cats.
As you can imagine, Bill’s spare time is currently all spent taking care of his new baby girls. He does however still like to collect John Deere Die-cast scale models of the farm equipment he used. He is also an avid Husker fan and tries to get tickets to as many games as possible.
One of the more interesting places Bill has visited was Washington DC. He was able to tour the White House and U.S Capitol building. He also received a personal tour of lower Manhattan, NY and stopped by NYC’s designated Husker Bar to watch the football game.
Bill has seen a lot of changes in automobiles over the years. From the time of the carburetor to the today’s highly computerized machines, he has been schooled in it all. Bill appreciates the trust placed in him to work on your automobile.
He realizes in today’s fast paced world, no one has the time for their car to be breakdown. When he works on your car, he’ll report what needs fixing right now and what will need fixing in the future. You can choose what you want to fix and when. He’ll be waiting and ready to help you keep your car in reliable working order. Bill believes prevention is the key and he along with Williamson Hondas top-rated service department are here to serve you.
Thanks Bill for all you do and congratulations on earning Honda’s Top Tech award!
