Long stretch of flat highway in prairies

What is Honda LaneWatch™, and what does it do to keep you safer in the Omaha area? Honda LaneWatch™ keeps drivers aware of what’s happening on the passenger side of the Honda model. Many new Honda LaneWatch™ vehicles come with the Honda LaneWatch™ feature, and it’s easy for drivers to operate. Learn more about Honda LaneWatch™ — and how it makes your Gretna commutes more safe — below.

How Does Honda LaneWatch™ Work?

Honda LaneWatch™ works in a similar manner to a blind spot monitoring system. Honda models equipped with Honda LaneWatch™ feature a camera below the right, passenger-side mirror, which sends an image to the central display screen so you can see what’s happening on your passenger side while you drive. Honda LaneWatch™ gives you a clearer view of the passenger side of your Honda, enabling you to change lanes or make turns with piece of mind.

All that said — it’s important to note that Honda LaneWatch™ an enhancement to already safe driving, not a substitute for a driver’s road awareness.

How to Use Honda LaneWatch™

All you need to do to use Honda LaneWatch™ is activate your turn signal. The camera will power on automatically after you activate your right hand turn signal, giving you an image of your blind zone. If you’re not making a turn and just want to check your blind spot, you can press the button on the end of your turning signal control — and you can press the button again to turn the system off.

If you’d like to change or customize your settings, take the following steps:

  • Select Settings on the HOME screen.
  • Choose Camera.
  • Choose LaneWatch™.
  • Make your preferred changes.
  • Press BACK to exit.
